R&D Team Leader Global Product support for High Voltage Products Feeder Factory BG

The Opportunity

As an R&D Team Leader within a global organization, you will be part of an interdisciplinary project team focusing on global product support for high voltage products in BG. Your responsibilities include building a new team in BG, which will provide dedicated and expedited R&D support to the Feeder Factory BG for new product implementation and address quality issues. We are looking for technically skilled and motivated team players with intercultural competence. How you’ll make an impact:

  • Responsibility for the product support activities of high voltage products in feeder factory BG (in cooperation with the global GPS organization);
  • Lead, organize, and coordinate the global product support team in BG;
  • Direct and further develop the team and define/implement of local R&D site processes;
  • Contribute to innovation generation;
  • Contribute to implementation of R&D results considering functional, material, manufacturing, and economic aspects in feeder factory BG;
  • Ensure a proactive and cooperative development culture with a focus on networking and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, both internationally and cross-functionally, as well as multiculturally;
  • Plan budgets and resources (including costs reporting), create, monitor, and report on KPIs;
  • Lead projects or sub-projects of global development projects related to feeder factory BG.

Your background:

  • Excellent academic degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or comparable field;
  • Ideally, several years of professional and leadership experience, preferably in R&D or engineering;
  • High technical understanding and interest in business and process operations;
  • Strong team skills and ability to work independently;
  • High initiative and ability to shape processes and workflows;
  • Organizational skills and analytical thinking;
  • Empathetic leadership personality with strong communication skills and a confident and sovereign demeanor..Intercultural competence;
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written. Additional Bulgarian is a big advantage;
  • Willingness for business travel to Sevlievo on weekly basis and for occasional business travel abroad;
  • Class B driving license.
