Senior R&D Reliability Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Business Unit Service is at the forefront of delivering advanced, reliability-driven service solutions worldwide. As we evolve from descriptive monitoring toward scalable predictive and prescriptive intelligence, reliability modelling becomes a cornerstone of how we create customer value across the asset lifecycle.

As Senior Reliability Specialist, you will take an enterprise level role in shaping how reliability intelligence is defined, governed, and applied across our global digital service portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of reliability engineering, digital platforms, and service strategy, ensuring that reliability models are scientifically robust, consistently governed, scalable, and reusable—while being directly connected to operational performance and commercial outcomes.

This is a senior, high impact role for an expert who wants to influence how reliability intelligence is used across an entire organization, not just within a single product or project.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Define and implement the enterprise reliability modelling strategy across BU Service

  • Ensure reliability models deliver consistent, explainable, and decision relevant outputs (e.g., PoF, RUL, risk, mitigation) used in customer facing and decision critical contexts

  • Coordinate companywide projects and activities to harmonize reliability methods and avoid duplication

  • Govern reliability model development, validation, deployment, and retirement

  • Drive integration of reliability models into digital service and predictive platforms

  • Partner with digital, analytics, and IT/OT teams on data driven reliability solutions

  • Establish standards, guidelines, and training programs for reliability engineering

  • Define and track KPIs and deliver executive insights on reliability performance and maturity

Your background

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering (Reliability, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related)

  • Proven experience in reliability engineering and reliability modelling in mission‑critical environments

  • Strong expertise in failure analysis, reliability modelling, and asset health management methods

  • Experience coordinating or governing technical or modelling activities across multiple teams or units

  • Confidence to work effectively in complex IT/OT environments with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to translate reliability insights into operational decisions and service performance outcomes

More about us

  • We offer a highly collaborative environment across engineering, digital, analytics, and service teams

  • A senior, visible role shaping the future of reliability intelligence in global digital services

  • Continuous learning through exposure to leading reliability, predictive, and digital service practices

  • Flexible working practices that help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow
