The opportunity

We are looking for you as Project Planner / Project Controls Specialist for our team in Rotterdam in Holland for the handling, controlling and also monitoring of customer-specific large-scale projects.

How you'll make an impact
  • Definition of responsibilities and distribution of tasks within the team with regards to scheduling, taking customer specifications and Hitachi Energy policies into account
  • Development, regular updates and analysis of project schedules
  • Preparation of tender and project time schedules
  • Collaboration and joint schedule creation and updating with project planners from other Hitachi Energy units in other European countries
  • Close cooperation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders in your role as a central contact person for project planning and progress control
  • Requesting schedule inputs and updates from internal and external project team members, suppliers, including visit to project sites etc
  • Active monitoring and control of project progress taking Hitachi Energy policies and best practices into account in order to ensure that projects are completed on time and in accordance with contract
  • Ensure that all projects are implemented and completed in accordance with health, safety and environmental guidelines

Your background

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable (Bachelor / Master / Dipl.)
  • Relevant professional experience in project management, project execution and especially in the area of scheduling / project controls (scheduling, resource planning, cost control)
  • Extensive knowledge of the project planning and scheduling tools Primavera and MS Project
  • Knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint
  • Certification as PMI-SP or other scheduling related trainings would be an advantage
  • Very good communication skills, strong customer orientation as well as structured working methods and ability to work in a team
  • English and Dutch fluent in spoken and written
