The opportunity:

Be responsible for Legal requirements & Hitachi Energy Standards/Programmes on Health for entire factory.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will provide consultations, first aid and medical treatment; refer as needed; maintain Occupational Health Center (OHC)/ Clinic readiness (AED-Automated External Defibrillator, oxygen, drugs), plan and run medical drills; coordinate ambulance/hospital liaison.

  • You will be organizing pre-employment, periodic, and fit-to-work medicals; health-check record management, occupational disease screening (at least annually; semiannually for special exposures) and post-exposure assessments per Ministry of Health (MOH) guidance and implementing return-to-work and restricted-duty programs with HR/HSE.

  • You will review working environment monitoring, (air, noise, chemicals, heat); recommend controls and corrective actions; Work classification based on degree of hardship and occupational health risks, support accident notification, investigation, statistics, and reporting.

  • You will co-ordinate in assessing tasks/workstations; recommend engineering/administrative controls; lead training (lifting, posture, rotations), propose & run wellness programs: vaccination, nutrition, smoking cessation, exercise; manage Non‑Communicable Diseases (NCD) screenings (Blood Pressure (BP), glucose), etc, support deliver training/advice on stress management, fatigue programs.

  • You will ensure compliance with Vietnam OSH law and MOH/MOLISA directives; maintain legal medical records, prepare annual Occupational Health plan integrated into OSH plan; oversee OSH training requirements, organizing needed training: first aid, PPE, hygiene, ergonomics, wellness; evaluate effectiveness.

  • You will liaise with local hospitals, MOH/VIHEMA, MOLISA; support audits/inspections, facilitating and deploying Health programs and innitiatives from Global Hitachi Energy, meeting company KPIs.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MD/MBBS) with valid license in Vietnam; and /or Medical practice certificate issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

  • More than 3 to 5 years in industrial/occupational health; emergency care competence.

  • Preferred: Associate of Faculty of Industrial Hygiene (AFIH) or Occupational Medicine Diploma; Basic Cardiac Life Support / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/ACLS).

  • Knowledge of Medical & OSH laws for industrial company.

  • Proficiency English communication.
