Field Service Engineering Manager

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors. How you'll make an impact

1. You will ensure prompt response and resolution of customers' complaints and on-site quality issues, actively participate in the coordination and resolution of major on-site quality problems, cooperate with the business department, and communicate with relevant parties to discuss solutions for on-site problems.

2. You will organize and coordinate company resources to rectify and repair important on-site quality problems and defects, organize, coordinate and participate in the analysis of major product failures and other issues on-site by all relevant parties; timely collect and record on-site product defects and quality issues from customers, and regularly (monthly) report to the production, quality, design and sales departments of the company.

3. You will do continuously strengthen the management and capacity training of outsourcing service providers to ensure that the service quality and judgment, problem-solving ability of outsourcing service providers have significantly improved, can basically meet the requirements of on-site services; at the same time, organize and coordinate the arrangement of annual training for outsourcing service personnel on service professional knowledge, safety, environment and occupational health.

4. You will prepare on-site inspection and service forms for important projects and faulty products, ensuring that all service personnel can conduct on-site service work in a standardized and professional manner; strengthen the management and capacity improvement of in-house service personnel, and collect service information and service fees of all out-of-office service engineers on time.

5. You will prepare or coordinate relevant departments to prepare and review reports on the handling of general on-site defects, coordinate and track the progress of major on-site faulty products returned for repair, organize and coordinate the training of outsourcing service personnel.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. Full-time bachelor's degree or above, preferably with engineering background such as mechanical manufacturing and electrical engineering,

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in after-sales service management in the transformer industry or related fields.

3. Familiar with the product structure, performance characteristics and after-sales service process of transformers.

4. Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and team management skills. Honest, trustworthy, down-to-earth, responsible and having strong execution ability and pressure-bearing capacity. Teamwork spirit and affinity.

5. Proficient in using office software and having certain data analysis ability. Fluent in English.
