Summer intern for HVDC Control & Protection

We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.


How you’ll make an impact

1. You will assist in the design, development, and testing of control and protection algorithms for HVDC systems also conduct simulations and analyses using specialized software tools (e.g., PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink) to evaluate system performance and stability.

2. You will support the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and test procedures.

3. You will participate in team meetings, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions also contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting activities related to HVDC control and protection systems.

4. You will learn and apply industry standards and best practices for HVDC technology also perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

5. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You will currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.

2. Strong academic record with a focus on power electronics, control systems, and/or power system protection.

3. Familiarity with power system analysis concepts and simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink).

4. Basic understanding of HVDC technology is a plus.

5. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Python is advantageous.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

8. Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
