The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and Hitachi's internal policies.
2. You will lead and conduct internal and external audits, including supplier audits, to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
3. You will analyze manufacturing processes and product data to identify root causes of defects and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
4.You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality requirements into product design, process development, and material selection.
5. You will oversee the inspection, testing, and release of manufactured products, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
6.You will generate and present detailed quality reports, metrics, and analyses to management, highlighting performance trends and recommending strategic improvements.
7. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D problem-solving.
8. You will manage and resolve customer quality issues, acting as a primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries and complaints.

9. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

10. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent) or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
3. Proven experience with quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable), and 8D problem-solving.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in using quality management software and statistical analysis tools.
7. Ability to travel occasionally as required for supplier audits or other business needs.
