Mechanical Design Engineer

The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Vietnam. You will play a crucial role in the development and design of innovative products and systems that meet our customer needs and industry standards.

How you will make an impact

• You will lead the development of design specifications and models, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and regulations.

• You will conduct thorough design reviews and verifications, implementing modifications to elevate project quality.

• You will monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring design milestones are achieved and projects are delivered on schedule.

• You will conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and seek opportunities for design innovations.

• You will engage with customers to capture and incorporate their feedback into design solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction.

• You will collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, selecting optimal materials and components.

• You will prepare and maintain detailed documentation that supports design processes and facilitates knowledge sharing.

• You will identify and implement continuous design improvements based on test results and industry best practices, enhancing quality and efficiency.

Your background:

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 

• 3-5 years of experience in design engineering.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Pro-active attitude, self-motivated and with a strong sense of ownership.

• Open to change, feedback and continuous improvement.
