Hitachi Energy at Singapore International Energy Week

lundi, 26.10.2026, 09:00 - vendredi, 30.10.2026, 17:30 SGT
Singapore, Singapore
Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, 10 Bayfront Avenue

AAs electricity demand accelerates, driven by AI, data centres, and electrification, the need for more connected, resilient, and intelligent power systems has never been greater. At SIEW 2026, held under the theme “Connecting Energy Systems, Powering Tomorrow,” Hitachi Energy will join industry leaders and partners to explore how grid integration, next-generation technologies, and cross-border collaboration can enable a resilient and sustainable energy future.

Hitachi Energy is committed to advancing the world’s energy system to be more sustainable, secure, resilient, and affordable, making electricity more accessible and empowering societies to thrive.

At the Energy Showcase, Hitachi Energy will present innovative technologies and digital solutions across three key areas: interconnected grids, grid stability and resilience, and data-driven grid management. From HVDC and grid-forming technologies to energy portfolio, asset, and grid management solutions, the showcase will demonstrate how Hitachi Energy is helping customers navigate the energy transition and power tomorrow.

Held in conjunction with SIEW, the 5th Future of the Grid (FOTG) addresses the decisions shaping our energy future: interconnections, modernization, digital intelligence, and system resilience. From 27-28 October 2026, as the Platinum Sponsor, Hitachi Energy speakers will provide our perspective on mastering modernization and renewables integration, grid readiness to support data center growth.

The Agile Grid: Mastering Modernisation and Renewables Integration
  • Addressing varied realities: ageing infrastructure, traditional operating models to increasing VRE, DER and e-mobility integration
  • Building a digital foundation for agile grids
  • Modernising grids to achieve flexibility: grid network expansion, enabling technologies, to digital solutions

Investing in grid modernisation: how utility and grid operators evaluate and strategise priorities and available financing options?

day 3
Wednesday 28 October
14:25 - 14:40 hrs
Technology & Digital for Tomorrow's Power Grids

The rapid energy transition, rise of distributed energy resources, and deep electrification are making power systems and grids increasingly complex. Managing this shift requires advanced control, protection, and prediction capabilities. Core power electronics technologies—such as HVDC, STATCOM, and power conversion systems for solar, EV, BESS, hydrogen, and data centres—are vital to preparing grids for the future. Additionally, digitalisation and AI will introduce greater predictability while strengthening protection and control frameworks. Complementing these advancements, sustainable solutions like SF6-free switchgear will actively reduce the carbon footprint of grid operations and maintenance. This session will present and explore these critical technologies to outline how we can effectively shape the future grid.

09:30 - 10:10
Data Centre Power Spotlight Panel: The Capacity Crunch – Grid Readiness to Support Data Centre Growth and Beyond
  • Data centres as “anchor offtakers” for grid modernisation: from passive consumers to active grid partners through long-term CPPAs
  • Integrating onsite generation and long-duration storage for reliable power supply
  • Working with grid operators – reducing peak power demand and allowing flexibility
  • Location strategies: best approach to expedite grid readiness
  • Lower grid stress via efficiency gains: emerging technologies such as liquid cooling and close-loop thermal management
  • Future of distributed AI compute and edge AI: the role of microgrid and edge-optimised thermal and physical architecture
day 4
Thursday 29 October
10:40 – 11:20 hrs
Panel on Power Grids: Strengthening grid infrastructure and resilience
  • Sweden has run a stable, reliable grid for decades while carrying one of the world’s highest shares of fossil-free electricity. Singapore’s grid is entering its own stress-test era with industrial growth, data centers demand, and transport electrification driving demand up, alongside a push towards renewables and regional interconnection
  • This panel brings Swedish grid technology providers with Singapore stakeholders to discuss what grid resilience actually requires in practice and where Swedish technology and know-how can plug directly into Singapore’s own grid modernisation plans
