General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Test Admin for its Transformer Services US engineering team. This role will be based in the Nashville, TN; Earth City, MO; or Crystal Springs, MS office; or remote with up to 20% travel required. This role is a vital member of the engineering team in Transformer Services US, receiving raw test data and compiling test reports. This role will report to the Engineering Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Receive and compile transformer oil and electrical test data into a report template.
  • Support basic transformer testing such as winding resistance, turns ratio, excitation, and power factor.
  • Archive test reports and test data to server.
  • Provide technical support to field crews – 24/7, all US time zones. 
  • Review and provide guidance for transformer oil test results.
  • Create test scopes in support of the proposal team.

Your Background:

  • Associate degree in engineering or related field with two or more years of experience or alternatively a combination of studies and five years or more of transformer experience.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Knowledge of industry standards - IEEE, IEC, NEMA.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and compiling technical reports.
  • Initiative, creativity, and great attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Up to 10% travel if based in an office; 20% travel if based remotely.
