Job Details:

  • Permanent full-time position.

  • Salary of $36.49/hr plus evening bonuses of $0.80/hr.

  • Evening schedule from 3:15pm to 11:30pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Daytime training with the maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will be part of the maintenance team ensuring the smooth running of a manufacturing plant's facilities in a unionized environment where worker safety is the priority.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair production equipment, including troubleshooting electrical, electronic, computer and mechanical controls.

  • Perform equipment maintenance according to the schedule established in our GMAO and production availability.

  • Support the maintenance of the equipment preventive maintenance program in accordance with manufacturers' standards to ensure optimum availability.

  • Maintain equipment files, drawings, and technical data.

  • Participate in project development and planning.

  • Carry out installation and/or wiring work on projects.

  • Make minor modifications to PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron) and operator interfaces (HMI) as required.

  • Take charge of subcontracting for preventive maintenance and repairs.

  • Operate, as required, in the quality control test environment.

  • Carry out work and other related tasks as instructed by supervisory staff, in compliance with OHS and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Studies diploma (DEP) in electromechanical or industrial mechanical.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position

  • Any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant

  • Good knowledge of electrical components and their functions in manufacturing equipment (motors, drives, plc, contactors, relays)

  • Knowledge of electrical standards and factory safety rules

  • Knowledge of RS Logix 5000 and/or CX-Programmer an asset

  • May be required to qualify for a proficiency test in electrical control (diagnostic) to become permanent

  • Intermediate English and French
