US Internal Communications Senior Specialist

The Opportunity
Do you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy advocating for employees through effective communication, and are passionate about storytelling? In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing US internal communications and Raleigh office communications. Partnering with executives, businesses, and functions, you’ll boost the Hitachi Energy brand internally and support corporate communications at all levels inside the organization. You’ll develop and implement communications with a focus on creating dynamic employee engagement and building culture through content creation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Create and execute strategic internal communications plans for Hitachi Energy US employees working across business units
  • Create engaging written and visual communications to motivate and inspire employees
  • Partner and collaborate with teams in the North America region
  • Manage communications channels and tools (town halls, events, newsletters, videos, emails, internal social media, etc.), with an understanding of US employee needs and connecting business objectives in every communication
  • Proactively develop content such as news articles, posts, blogs, and announcements for various internal communications channels
  • Create content for executive communications
  • Provide communication support for various corporate and employee events
  • Oversee rollout and localization of global communications initiatives and change management plans within the US
  • Partner and collaborate with employee branding, the global internal communications community, and business unit communications teams
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrate self-drive, commitment to excellence, and flexibility in adapting to change
  • Utilize strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Your Background

  • Must possess work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Bring 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in internal and/or organizational communications, ideally with a focus on technology and innovation
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing effective communications strategies and strong internal communications campaigns
  • Manage projects successfully, drive innovation, and build collaborative relationships
  • Complete communications projects with high attention to detail and accuracy from start to finish
  • Exhibit exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills (writing samples will be requested)
  • Skilled with creating compelling visuals and using corporate design elements effectively
  • Possess excellent written and oral English language skills; proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Experience working in a global, complex organization (preferred)
  • Must live within commuting distance to Raleigh, NC area
