Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer

The Opportunity

You will work as an R&D Mechanical Engineer, contributing to the development of technologies and simulations applied to power transformers in a global innovation environment.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell-type transformers.

  • Perform mechanical design and supervise the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.

  • Lead and manage R&D projects independently, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with the required quality.

  • Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.

  • Prepare technical reports and specifications, and participate in educational programs.

  • Evaluate production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Support factories in troubleshooting within your area of expertise.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, proposing partnerships and innovative solutions.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience in R&D projects, engineering, or academic research.

  • Advanced knowledge in transformer technology.

  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks, SolidEdge).

  • Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations) and tools such as Ansys, Fluent, and CREO.

  • Ability to develop custom technical solutions.

  • Strong collaboration skills in international teams with excellent interpersonal abilities.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
