Auxiliary relays

The RSMD 1 and RSMD 2 are bi-stable relays intended for general power system latching relay installations. These relays are available for electrical operation and reset only. All the relays have an LED indication of an activated coil. RSMD 1 has up to 7 contacts, and RSMD 2 has up to 15 contacts.

RSMS 1 is a high-speed relay intended for tripping applications. The relay has 3 to 6 contacts, depending on the variant. A special variant, which is not influenced by capacitive discharges at earth faults, and which also has improved insulation across open contact, is available for heavy applications where high disturbance immunity is required.

RSMVB 2 and RSMVB 4 are bi-stable relays with heavy-duty contacts. RSMVB 2 has 8 contacts, and RSMVB 4 has 14 contacts in various normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) combinations. They are suitable for tripping and lockout applications. The relays have series coil-cutoff contacts, thus preventing continuous power consumption.

RSMA 1 and RSMA 2 are general-purpose auxiliary relays suitable for contact multiplication relays and position repeat relays in protection circuits or as interposing relays in control circuits. The relays are designed for dc supply. The outstanding features of this relay are its low power consumption and long mechanical life. A few variants of RSMA 1 are AC operated with a valid frequency between 50-60 Hz and a rated voltage of 115 or 230 V. RSMA 1 has up to 7 contacts and RSMA 2 has up to 15 contacts.

RSMM 1 is a general-purpose relay. With two coils and each coil with 3 contacts, the relay saves space and can be used for applications where fewer contacts are needed. The relay is designed for dc supply.

Types RSME 1 and RSME 18 are DC operated relays with heavy duty contacts. The contacts are of bridge type, with two breaking points in series which give a high breaking capacity. These relays are used where a low number of heavy-duty contacts are required e.g. as trip relay. RSME 18 is a RSME 1 with an operating flag indicator.

RSMH 2 is a DC-operated relay with 8 heavy-duty contacts, in various normally-open and normally-closed combinations. The contacts are of bridge type. The relay can be provided with a hand-reset flag as an option. Typical applications are tripping and DC switching.
