Electrical Design Engineer

The Opportunity

Designs and delivers electrical engineering solutions for Metal Enclosed Capacitor Banks (MECB). Responsible for the preparation of technical designs in compliance with customer requirements, applicable standards, quality, and safety regulations.
 
How you’ll make an impact:

  • Designs and engineers MECB capacitor banks based on customer technical specifications and project requirements by performs electrical calculations and selects main power components for capacitor bank systems;
  • Develops electrical schematics, including power and control circuits, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the equipment and prepares layout drawings and evaluates the arrangement of power components inside electrical panels in accordance with medium-voltage standards and installation safety rules;
  • Creates,  maintains production documentation (Bill of Materials, wiring lists, labeling, etc.) and supports manufacturing by providing engineering clarification and resolving technical issues during production;
  • Processes customer change requests and implements design changes in line with established procedures;
  • Collaborates with Project Management, Production, and Purchasing teams to ensure on-time and cost-effective project execution. Communicates technical matters with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Reviews supplier technical documentation and provides technical evaluations for materials and components;
  • Participates in offer preparation for new projects, including technical solutions, Bills of Materials, and engineering effort estimations;
  • Ensures design quality, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to project schedules and budgets;
  • Provides technical support related to testing, installation, and commissioning of MECB systems;
  • Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and sharing best engineering practices.

Your background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field;
  • Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools;
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required;
  • Good capability on Microsoft office software package;
  • Previous experience with eCAD software is an advantage;
  • Proactive, result-oriented person with excellent personal and teamwork skills.
