Job Description: Configurator Specialist

The Opportunity

As a Configurator Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of product configurators supporting Configure-to-Order (CTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes. You will ensure accurate product configurations, seamless integration with pricing and costing, and effective support for sales and engineering teams while adhering to established governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain product configurator models aligned with business requirements.

Ensure accuracy of configuration logic, rules, dependencies, and constraints.

Maintain configuration-related master data including product structures, attributes, pricing, and costing inputs.

Ensure data consistency between configurators and integrated systems such as SAP and CPQ platforms.

Perform comprehensive testing of configuration scenarios and support SIT and UAT activities.

Collaborate with engineering, product management, sales, and IT teams to translate business requirements into configuration logic.

Provide operational support by troubleshooting and resolving configuration-related issues.

Coordinate with AMS and IT teams for defect resolution and system improvements.

Identify opportunities for configurator optimization and continuous improvement.

Ensure adherence to governance standards, data quality guidelines, and compliance requirements.

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 8+ years of experience in product configuration, CPQ systems, or related domains, preferably in transformers or manufacturing industries.

Strong experience in Configure-to-Order (CTO) and/or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments.

Knowledge of product structures (BOMs), configuration logic, and variant management.

Hands-on experience with CPQ platforms (e.g., Conga, Salesforce CPQ) and SAP SD/MM integration.

Understanding of pricing and costing concepts related to configuration.

Experience supporting testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and Agile methodologies is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in written and spoken English.
