Senior Service Program/Project Manager

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement:

General Project Management requires general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will lead business project execution for HE Services tools and process improvement and support strategic transformation programs in the execution phases.

  • You will drive standardization and simplification across businesses to review business needs and improve service tools and processes.

  • You should ensure and maintain that projects are aligned with the given goals and HE Services business strategy and direction and developed according to priorities.

  • You should ensure that projects have solid business case(s) with completed and analyzed business requirement(s) and properly estimated and agreed costs and benefits.

  • You should support IS PM in project planning, defining and managing scope, budget, and risks, creating mitigation strategies, managing project issues and ensuring the project is properly reviewed and stays on track with respect to scope, budget, timeline and ensure benefit delivery.

  • You should ensure that the product delivered by the project has optimal business value.

  • You will be supporting BU’s in organizing user acceptance testing and ensuring that adequate user training is carried out.

  • You should ensure that the transition to live use is safe and effective and proper business documentation during project execution.

  • You should check on facilitate status reporting of projects to the business management teams and Plan and coordinate project cutover, hyper care and handover.

  • You will ensure status reporting of projects to the project OpCo and Steco and business benefit delivery.

  • You should coordinate with the Process Owners to ensure business participation and buy-in.

  • You will adhere to the project management processes in the organization and ensure Hitachi Energy integrity guidelines are followed in the team.

Your Background:

  • Any graduation (Science, Statistics, Computer Applications, Engineering) 3-5 years relevant experience.

  • Minimum Experience of 15+ years in Projection Execution and Business Service Operations with a minimum of 5+ years as PM.

  • Should possess strong leadership skills and the ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.

  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver projects with time, cost, and quality.

  • Proficiency in English language.
