SAS engineer

Mission statement:

Ensure the SAS application portfolio is delivered effectively according to HITACHI ENERGY standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Execute technical support and act as specialist in own area of expertise. In collaboration with the customer and HITACHI ENERGY units/sales teams ensures customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be providing technical support/applications/solutions by identifying technical problems and determining corrective actions via remote or on-site service in any engineering category (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extension, upgrade, and retrofit, end of life services, replacements, etc.).

  • You will determine effective SAS applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market or manufacture new solution offerings to respond to customer requirements cost effectively.

  • You will manage customer relationships and maintain regular contacts with key customers, identify new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and HITACHI ENERGY sales teams to ensure customer needs are met and business opportunities utilized for business growth.

  • You will conduct support and advisory for sales team, ensure accurate communication and exchange of technical information to the customers to address their needs and report and follow-up customer feedback to achieve high level of customer satisfaction.

  • You will provide technical support and coordination for the service team, plan activities, coordinate the work of internal and external technicians and assign them specific tasks related to service needs and supervise project teams and contractors at work site and monitors performance.

  • You will apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities and report unsafe practices and incidents.

Your background:

  • You hold bachelor’s or master’s degree – preferable in electrical engineering, electronics & communications engineering, and control system engineering.

  • You hold 0 to 2 years experiences in substation control and data acquisition system.

  • Experience dealing with multi- cultural workforce has preferred.

  • Strong engineering background with good interpersonal, coordination, & communication skills, and selves’ motivation.

  • Good command in speaking & written English language and computer literacy.
