Sales Specialist Grid Automation - Egypt

The opportunity

You as a Sales Specialist for Grid Automation will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Cairo, Egypt. The sales specialist has the responsibility to support the Market Manager to identify new customers and new opportunities. She/he facilitates the sales process from identified potential to implemented sales or contract to achieve and exceed the set sales targets of the Utility sector.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensuring that market information, such as the assessment of business potential within the Electrical Utilities, renewables, industry, oil & gas and railway segments, monitoring of competitors, offerings to customers, price levels, is updated and documented in the provided system.
  • Identifying and developing new and/or potential customers.
  • Ensuring the prompt provision of information to the Market Manager about new trends in the market.
  • Translating the needs of the customer in the relevant offerings based on Hitachi Energy product, system, and service portfolio.
  • Supporting negotiations with customers and the achievement of agreed upon margins, as well as ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Participating and contributing with the tendering team, including assessment of risk and opportunities and mitigation actions.
  • Monitoring sales proposals (e.g. quantity, margin, product/system), & follows up on the statistics.
  • Following up on proposals and the leads the process negotiations till order registration in accordance with the established processes. 
  • Supporting customer visits and represents the Hitachi Energy Grid Automation portfolio.

Your background           

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Communication or Electronics Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales within the Electrical Utilities, Renewables, Industry, Oil & Gas and Railway segments.
  • Solid technical background in Automation (Substation Automation and Control) and Telecommunication for mission critical infrastructure is required.
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written Arabic and English language is required.
