We are seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our engineering teams at Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves overseeing the development and delivery of innovative technical solutions, ensuring high-quality product execution, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. How you'll make an impact

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high team morale and productivity.

  • Define, implement, and optimize engineering processes and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and actionable engineering plans.

  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Ensure the technical architecture and solutions align with Hitachi's strategic goals and industry best practices.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of engineering projects.

  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, proposing proactive solutions.

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap development for engineering initiatives.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and adoption within Hitachi.

  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate career development for team members.

  • You will be part of a global organization (EUC HUB) and you need to establish a close cooperation with other teams, being a supportive and active contributor for the standardization inside the organization

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical engineering

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects from inception to completion.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire technical teams.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Experience in hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineering talent.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
