Factory Project Management Office (PMO) & After Sales Leader 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy Dry Transformers Switzerland and take a key leadership role in shaping the future of project execution and customer excellence. As Factory Project Management Office (PMO) & After Sales Leader, you will lead a team of Project Managers and After Sales professionals while driving project governance, fostering a project-centric culture, and ensuring alignment between strategic business objectives, operational priorities, and customer expectations. Operational excellence and customer satisfaction across the business processes are the critical aspects driven by the PMO Leader.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead and further develop the factory's Project Management Office and After Sales organization

  • Ensure successful delivery of complex customer projects, meeting safety, quality, cost, schedule, and contractual objectives

  • Drive project governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of PM methodologies, tools, and processes

  • Oversee the factory project portfolio, balancing resources, priorities, risks, and business objectives with active participation to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle

  • Strengthen project financial performance through effective risk and contract management, forecasting, cost control, and profitability optimization

  • Act as escalation point for critical projects, commercial, contractual, and customer-related matters

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, planning and fulfillment, quality, sales and finance teams

  • Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers and After Sales teams while promoting a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous learning

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project management within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or energy-related environments

  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience managing Project Managers, PMOs, or project execution organizations

  • Proven track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects from initiation through completion

  • Experience establishing, developing, or leading Project Management Offices and governance frameworks

  • Strong knowledge of project financial management, risk management, contract management, and stakeholder engagement

  • Experience working with project management tools and ERP systems such as SAP

  • Fluency in English and Italian; technical knowledge of transformers or complex electrical equipment and project management certifications (PMP®, PRINCE2®, IPMA®) are considered strong advantages
