Karthik Krishnamurthi

Karthik Krishnamurthi is Head of Exports and, Sales and Marketing for Cluster countries in Hitachi Energy India. He is also Growth and Strategy at Hitachi India. Prior to this, he led Sales and Marketing at the country at Hitachi Energy India Limited.

Prior to joining ABB in 2005, Karthik worked for 15 years at Crompton Greaves Ltd and is a veteran in the industry. He has held several leadership roles in ABB India like Business Development Head, Sales and Marketing Head of Chennai Region and most recently as the Head of Country Exports.

In his capacity as the head of export business for ABB India, Karthik accelerated export growth and helped identify new markets in the region and led the launch of several new products across key markets. In a difficult and uncertain global market, ABB’s exports have continued to grow under his leadership.

During his tenure as the Sales and Marketing Head of Chennai, the business grew three times and got accolades for becoming the best performing region in the year 2008. He also played an important role in winning major customer accounts in engineering, automobiles, infrastructure and various other sectors for ABB India.

Karthik graduated in Electrical and Electronics engineering from the Directorate of Technical Education, Madras and holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Finance from Sikkim Manipal University.
