Sales Executive - Enterprise Software Solutions

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy’s Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) group as a Sales Executive and play a leading role in expanding our enterprise software, data, and advisory footprint across Europe. You will help utilities, traders, investors, and energy market participants translate complex market dynamics into actionable strategies using our advanced EPM solutions. In this senior, high‑impact role—based in France—you will drive business growth, shape market engagement strategies, and collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, pre‑sales, consulting, and product teams. Your work will directly influence how customers optimize portfolios, forecast energy markets, and make critical investment decisions in an evolving energy landscape.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Drive pipeline and revenue growth across Europe by executing strategic sales plans and market engagement initiatives
  • Develop structured enablement and marketing campaigns to support new and existing pipeline generation
  • Identify, qualify, and scope sales opportunities by translating customer business and technical needs into compelling solution proposals
  • Build strong client relationships and strategic partnerships to ensure long‑term customer success and sustained business growth
  • Lead direct sales efforts for software, data, and advisory solutions, including commercial strategy and deal execution
  • Collaborate with pre‑sales and subject matter experts to prepare high‑quality responses to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
  • Maintain deep insight into energy market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry developments to guide regional strategy
  • Work closely with marketing, services, and regional sales teams to ensure alignment and coordinated execution

Your Background

  • Master’s degree or equivalent, ideally in Engineering, Business/Economics, or Information Systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with strong knowledge of the energy technology and consulting landscape
  • Proven ability to build and maintain executive‑level customer relationships, drive negotiations, and develop strategic account plans
  • Experience collaborating with leading industry firms such as Wood Mackenzie, Baringa, S&P Global, Energy Exemplar, or AFRY
  • Familiarity with energy portfolio management software, market advisory services, and sectors like renewable infrastructure, utilities, or oil & gas
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
