HSE Manager - Grid Automation Spain

The opportunity

For our business unit Grid Automation we are looking for an HSE Manager based in Madrid.

How you'll make an impact

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and internal policies
  • Acting as a coach and advisor toward the supervision team concerning HSE management.
  • Conduct comprehensive HSE risk assessments and implement effective control measures
  • Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and define corrective and preventive actions
  • Implement and support factory-wide HSE programs, audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives
  • Monitor key HSE KPIs and prepare clear reports to drive transparency and decision‑making
  • Deliver HSE trainings and awareness programs that foster a strong safety culture
  • Maintain and continuously improve emergency response plans, including drills and preparedness activities
  • Collaborate closely with teams to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations and long‑term planning
  • Drive the integration and continuous improvement of environmental practices by leading risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring/reporting environmental performance against HSE objectives.

 

Your background

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within an industrial or energy environment
  • Solid understanding of HSE regulations, standards, risk assessments, and incident analysis
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct engaging trainings
  • Experience working with HSE performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to influence and drive behavioral change across diverse teams
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Collaborative working style and ability to support cross‑functional factory operations
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
