Field Service Technician

The Opportunity

Be a part of a team leading the charge in the energy transition.
In this role, you will join the Service organization in Spain, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high‑quality Installation & Commissioning and Service activities for High Voltage equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable and on‑time execution at customer sites, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and long‑term asset performance.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Execute installation and commissioning activities for High Voltage equipment at customer sites.

  • Perform service activities including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits and replacements.

  • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot technical issues on-site or remotely.

  • Ensure all work is executed in compliance with Hitachi Energy HSE standards.

  • Prepare, coordinate and verify availability and quality of tools, materials and equipment.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service activities.

  • Build strong relationships with customers and understand their operational needs.

  • Propose technical solutions and upgrades to improve system reliability and performance.

Your background
  • Technical diploma in electrical engineering, electromechanics or mechatronics.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage, electrical or mechanical field service.

  • Proven experience in installation and commissioning of HV equipment.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Good command of Spanish; English is an advantage.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within Spain (>80%).
