Global Product Manager - Tap Changers

The opportunity

As part of the Transformers Business Unit, the Global Product Group Insulation and Components is focused on enabling partners to build superior transformers and support growth driven by the energy transition and industry supercycle. With a globally expanding portfolio and clear innovation strategy, the organization is well positioned for continued growth.

As Global Product Manager for Tap Changers, you will be accountable for the long-term success of the product line across targeted OEM and end-user segments. Reporting to the Global Product Group Manager, you will translate market needs into business opportunities, own the value proposition, and lead the portfolio strategy across its full lifecycle. This is a highly visible, global role offering the opportunity to shape the future of a critical product offering.

How you'll make an impact

You will drive business success and innovation through:

  • End-to-end product lifecycle management: From defining specifications for new tap changer solutions through to phase-out of obsolete products

  • Performance and profitability optimization: Analyzing sales, margins, costs, and trends to ensure competitiveness and financial sustainability

  • Portfolio strategy ownership: Defining segmentation, positioning, and go-to-market strategies, as well as leading product roadmaps and footprint decisions

  • Market intelligence and innovation: Monitoring technology trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to continuously evolve offerings, including services and digital capabilities

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with engineering, sales, and application teams to ensure consistent messaging and strong execution

  • Customer engagement: Interacting with key customers to gather insights, strengthen relationships, and incorporate feedback into product development

  • Enablement and training: Supporting internal teams with marketing materials and training to ensure a strong understanding of the value proposition across the organization

Your background

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A university degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (a business degree is a plus)

  • Strong industry knowledge of transformers and tap changers, including services and monitoring solutions

  • 7+ years of experience in areas such as Product Management, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, or Service in a global environment

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage B2B relationships and partnerships

  • A results-oriented mindset, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative and solutions-driven approach

  • Experience working across different countries and cultures

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–30%
