Vishal Dewan is Head of Sales and Marketing at Hitachi Energy India since October 2025. Prior to this, he was Country Managing Director of Malaysia and Brunei at Hitachi Energy.
With over three decades of diverse experience across power, energy, petrochemicals, IT services, and education, Vishal has built high‑performance teams driving sustainable business growth. His career includes plant maintenance, project management, operations, sales and marketing, each role strengthening his belief in the power of customer-centricity, integrity, and continuous learning.
As the Country Managing Director for Malaysia & Brunei at Hitachi Energy, he led the organization through a major transition from ABB Power Grids to Hitachi Energy while delivering consistent double‑digit growth. His focus on sustainability, power quality, data center solutions, and renewable technologies has enabled the business to strengthen its market leadership.
Prior to this, during his 16‑year tenure with ABB India, he held multiple leadership roles, driving nationwide sales, executing complex automation projects, and managing large multi‑disciplinary teams. Whether closing high‑stakes SCADA projects, leading P&L responsibilities, or shaping strategy for oil & gas portfolios, he has consistently delivered impactful results.
An Instrumentation and Control engineer from COE Pravaranagar (Pune University), Vishal has completed Executive Management Programs from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM A) and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B).
