This Partner's Day, we brought together key stakeholders to discuss the future of Vietnam’s energy sector under the theme, "Digitalization and Sustainability: Vietnam’s Energy Needs." This one-day workshop was not just an event, it was an open discussion to find solutions for advancing a sustainable energy future.
The day began with an inspiring opening speech by Chandan Singh, Country Managing Director, who emphasized the urgency of accelerating the energy transition. He outlined the immense renewable potential in Vietnam and highlighted the importance of interconnected grids, sustainable power systems, and advanced digital technologies.

The workshop sessions focused on Hitachi Energy’s key products including EconiQ, TXpand, Smart digital substations, TCSC (Thyristor-Controlled Series Capacitor), showcasing how they can assist business during the energy transition journey.
In the afternoon, we shifted focus to Vietnam's energy-driven growth with expert-led discussions on power quality, rail infrastructure reliability, renewable integration, and transportation solutions for the green transition. These sessions provided valuable insights into tackling challenges and seizing opportunities amongst the digitalization era.
A panel discussion with key EPCs, end-users and consultant also brought different perspectives on the revised Power Development Plan VIII.
A panel discussion titled “Vietnam's energy landscape: Challenges & opportunities” brought together leaders from AIT Group, A Chau Group, The Lantau Group and PECC1. It focused on Vietnam's rapid economic growth, the ambitious targets set by the General Secretary, and the significant role of the energy sector, particularly through the revised Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8). Key topics include the expansion of renewable energy projects, the need for substantial investment in the transmission grid, and the government's efforts to streamline operations and reduce bureaucracy to support sustainable growth.
Partner’s Day was a remarkable celebration of collaboration and innovation, reaffirming Hitachi Energy’s commitment to empowering Vietnam’s energy transition.
