  • Energy Generation
  • Learning & Training
  • Sustainability

During this T&D World sponsored webinar, we will explore some of the energy U.S. infrastructure priorities that are included in the American Infrastructure & Jobs Act and how timely investments in transmission, grid resilience, energy storage, electric vehicles, and cyber and physical security can facilitate the transition to a carbon-neutral future in North America.

It is clear that the energy transition pathway toward carbon-neutral energy sources will impact almost every industry, government, company, and consumer as it unfolds. The historic bi-partisan $550B Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has recently passed in the U.S. Senate and now sits in the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation includes unprecedented levels of funding to address critical national issues such as aging roads and bridges, electric transmission, grid resilience, renewable integration, electric vehicle charging, ports, broadband, and cybersecurity. It comes at a critical, pivotal time. The U.N. just released a report about the dire consequences if we don’t fight climate change together. Subject to becoming law, the planned investments will create a more resilient, reliable, and flexible grid — one that is powered by clean energy and uses modern technologies to deliver that energy cost-effectively and securely. As the world becomes more reliant on electricity to fuel the future, these investments become more critical than ever. What steps will we need to take as an industry to unlock this tremendous potential? What challenges will we need to overcome in terms of technology, policy, research, development, and domestic supply? Where do we start?

Join this extremely timely panel discussion to:

  • Explore some of the energy U.S. infrastructure priorities that are included in the American Infrastructure & Jobs Act
  • Learn how timely investments in transmission, grid resilience, energy storage, electric vehicles, and cyber and physical security can facilitate the transition to electricity as the backbone of our energy system and pave the way to a carbon-neutral future in North America
  • Learn how other countries were able to make their energy systems more resilient, reliable and clean and what we can apply from them in North America
