"Being with Hitachi ABB Power Grids since 2008, continuously working in one Division—before in Power Systems and now Power Grids—I have had the opportunity to build a legacy together with colleagues and collectively, we create a better world. Power Grids is now a family for me being with my colleagues/fellows since 2008 when I joined ABB UAE.

Working in the PGHV Service unit, I usually describe our team’s culture as talented, driven, dedicated, innovative and ambitious. Our culturally diverse team works as one towards the mission set by Power Grids.

Hitachi ABB Power Grids is a company that stands for sustainability and CO2 reduction. Being in the Power Grids HV business, I am working on many Green/Brown/Retrofit/Refurbished projects where one is highly reliable shunt reactors supplied, to ensure that the voltage stays within safe limits to avoid possible blackouts. Another project that I proudly worked on is a solar project delivery for a renowned utility in UAE where our local services have delivered at its best to protect the electrical network and help prevent power outages also through the help of our local SMEs and specialists who are available 24/7 for customer support.

Combined with the Japanese conglomerate’s other industrial-equipment business, ABB’s power grids will allow Hitachi to compete neck and neck with the competitors. It’ll be of great working environment to experience a taste of Japanese working culture and their peak expertise and in getting its hands on more of the world’s power grid makers, Hitachi is acquiring an edge in the future of power."
