The opportunity:

The Sales Specialist - Data Center is a strategic addition to our business and is responsible for developing the business in the focus segment of Data Centers for Hitachi energy for all Businesses.

Location: Mumbai

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will own the market definition, segmentation and prospecting plan for the focus segment and key opportunities identification and stakeholder management within those target accounts.
  • You will increase of pipeline and orders in India Data Center market.
  • You will support value proposition meetings by localizing technical proposals and attending Front-End-Sales / DTC BDM customer meetings.
  • You will be leading or supporting under Hitachi Energy with a focus on Data center Hyper Scalers and Colocation investments.
  • Identify, interpret, and prioritize local regulatory standards and requirements
  • You will coordinate the internal Stakeholders in the region and the Global Product Group.
  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Must hold a bachelor’s in engineering/trade qualifications – Electrical or equivalent.
  • Must have Sales skills, 12 to 15 years’ experience required, Experience across Electrical & Automation Industries within Utilities, Power T&D or Power Systems projects, especially in Substation Automation & Communication is a strong advantage.
  • Good knowledge in Contract negotiation, Contract management, Safety and Integrity: Act Responsibly - Integrity, Transparency, Safety and Expert level, familiarizing self and execute action plans for safety and integrity.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety of self and colleagues, do not look the other way, Focus Externally also Customers, Partners, Markets - anticipate and address evolving customer and market needs & build close and sustainable customer relationships, align the business, self and team with the customers’ view.
  • Priority, Act, Achieve, drive to exceed goals & Improve business practices for higher performance levels and define own plan within larger strategy & contribute to strategy beyond own area with good collaboration and Trust - Listen, Value, Engage.
  • Actively demonstrate open communication, teamwork & facilitate collaboration, connect across networks, challenge, create, change.
  • Define a case for change & mobilize individuals to change also support in culture change management and effectiveness – identify and manage business culture strengths, weaknesses & act as facilitator for change.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and positions.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
