Tender Project Controller to Power Quality

We are looking for a Tender Project Controller to join our team within PGGI PQ GCOC (Grid Integration Powe Quality Global Center of Competence). We can offer you an interesting and challenging role in an international, dynamic and positive working environment.

In this position, you work as both a Project Controller and Tender Controller, acting as a strategic business partner who supports and advises the organization on future state financial. You will ensure financial performance for multiple projects and tenders by preparing financial analyses, ensuring cost controls, providing recommendations for financial decisions, and serving as the main finance representative for assigned tenders. To succeed in this role, you need solid experience working with finance steering in projects, which is essential as the position involves partnership with project and tender teams, commercial decision-making and responsibility for financial performance throughout the contract lifecycle.

This job is placed in Västerås or Solna, Sweden.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Provide financial support to project teams across full project lifecycle (tendering, project execution, project close-out and warranty).
  • Support Tender Manager and Capture team leader in compiling the risk list. Identify and propose mitigation actions on cash flow, exposure, foreign exchange risk by looking into areas such as payment securities, currency clauses, currency baskets. 
  • Joint responsibility with the project manager in all financial and commercial aspects of the project including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasted revenues and cash flow, risks and opportunities assessment and ensure alignment with other functions including project controls, planning/scheduling.  
  • Prepare project invoices, manage currency risk, tax issues, bonds and guarantees, financial accounting and reporting with support from relevant departments. 
  • Monitor and review project governance processes to ensure high quality financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar qualifications.
  • Previous experience as a Project Controller is required, with minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably within a global company. Experience within Tender controlling is required.
  • Excellent accounting and analytical skills are essential.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and MS Excel is preferred.
  • English, both written and spoken, is required. Swedish is considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, also across functional boundaries.
  • Orientation on goal, proactive approach and problem-solving attitude.
