Associate Mechanical Plant Design Engineer

The opportunity

The Mechanical Plant Design team, part of HVDC, is now looking for an Associate Mechanical Plant Design Engineer to join. You are welcome into our energetic team with mix of experienced and young engineers and colleagues from diverse nationalities around the world. We work closely within the various design teams and collaborate with engineering and research teams in Sweden and abroad.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Contribute to station layout design using 3D modeling and 2D drawings, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Apply relevant design principles, guidelines, and standards for mechanical plant design in HVDC stations, onshore and offshore.
  • Support project work by preparing documentation such as bills of materials and engineering estimates.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.

 Your background 

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and creating 2D drawings/layouts using NX/Teamcenter.
  • High self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong interest in learning new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.
