The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will develop, implement, and maintain the company's HSE Management System (HSEMS) in accordance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable standards and regulations also ensure full compliance with all national, local, and company HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

2. You will conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions also investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventative measures.

3. You will develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors also advise management on HSE performance, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.

4. You will lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures also promote a proactive safety culture through communication, engagement, and employee involvement initiatives, liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other relevant organizations on HSE matters.

5. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or engineering environment.

3. Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.

4. In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and best practices.

5. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSE audits.

6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

7. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
