Global Engineering Process Digital Transformation Manager

We are seeking a Global Engineering Process Digital Transformation Manager. The role would have global responsibilities. Preference for the role to be based in Raleigh, NC our North America headquarters but open to remote work.

The Global Engineering Process Digital Transformation Manager for overseeing and leading  the End-to- End  engineering process within the Business Unit (BU) from creating a tender to support the marketing quotation activity to providing Bills of Materials to manufacturing/factory by using Lean methodologies and Digital Transformation to support standardization, improve speed and quality to customers/marketing and internally to Opex/Procurement support framework for Design anywhere Manufacture anywhere, Improve optimization etc. This role focuses on ensuring process efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives. Additionally, the role emphasizes value stream process improvements, reduction of manual processes, and developing requirements for platform and tool teams to enhance the speed and quality of tools. Functionally Lead a team to coordinate the common activity and ensure best practices across BU and remove bottle necks to successfully implement the End-to-End Process that expedites the scale up strategy and to complete Engineering design with better quality and faster delivery. 

The position may require 25-50% travel at least in the first 1-2 Years

 

Key Responsibilities

Process Management

Develop, implement, and manage engineering processes to ensure high-quality output and efficiency. 

Value Stream Process Improvements

Lead Kaizen and Workshops to Identify and implement value stream improvements to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales , Operations, SCM etc to ensure alignment and integration of value stream improvements. 

Reduction of Manual Processes

Analyze current processes to identify areas with high manual intervention and develop strategies to automate these processes. 

Implement digital tools and technologies to reduce manual tasks and improve process accuracy and speed. 

Drive the above implementation in cooperation with the BU IT function – and stressing the concept of “Business Led and IT Supported” 

Develop Requirements for Platform and Tool Teams

Collaborate with platform and tool teams to define requirements that enhance the speed and quality of tools. 

Ensure that tools and platforms are aligned with business needs and support the overall strategy. 

Team Leadership: 

Lead a multinational team to coordinate the common activity and ensure best practices. 

Continuous Improvement: 

Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions for process optimization. 

Develop and share best practices across the engineering communities. 

Project Management: 

Implement clear stages and decision points in the Engineering processes, as well as change management practices  

Cross functional Engagement

Work with cross functional teams to identify a common strategy for interfaces and process that are common across the product lines such as SAP. 

Qualifications:

Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
o Advanced degree or certifications in project management is a plus.
 

Experience:
o Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering process management or a related field.
o Proven experience in managing complex projects, leading initiatives and managing multinational
teams.
o Ability to run project STECO meetings and lead strategic action plans.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
o Proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools.
