Business Development Manager – Data Center Segment PGTR (f/m/d)

Join us as a Business Development Manager – Data Center Segment Germany and take a leading role in driving the entire transformer business across all product lines. This cross‑product role focuses on identifying, developing, and scaling business opportunities, shaping go‑to‑market strategies, and positioning Hitachi Energy as a preferred partner for hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and EPCs.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Develop and execute a business development and sales channel strategy to drive market penetration within the Data Center Segment in Germany
  • Own the end‑to‑end development of transformer-related business opportunities (cross‑product) for data center customers across Germany
  • Identify new market opportunities, customers, and applications within the data center ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Global Segment teams to convert opportunities into sustainable business
  • Plan and monitor Marketing & Business Development initiatives to support long‑term growth and customer engagement
  • Act as a key interface for hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and EPC partners
  • Continuously analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine the business development strategy
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while supporting strategic pipeline growth and revenue targets
  • Track opportunities and performance using CRM tools and business development KPIs

Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Segment Management, ideally within Data Centers, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, or related infrastructure industries
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems, transformer applications, and large infrastructure investments
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at C‑level
  • Proven capability to develop and implement business development strategies for high‑value capital projects
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a cross‑functional and matrix environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience with CRM systems, opportunity management, and performance metrics
