Sales Specialist - Gas Insulated Switchgear

The opportunity:

General Sales & Marketing work focuses on a combination of general sales and marketing work including Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and/or solutions. Planning, developing, and delivering the marketing strategy for products/services and associated brand(s). Evaluating, measuring, and managing the product/brand P&L (e.g., budgeting, expenditures, profitability, return-on-investment, etc.) Incumbents in this specialization may also provide customer service and support in the form of information on product/price and resolution to issues related to billing, shipping, delivery, complaints, etc. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievement of sales targets. A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. How you’ll make an impact:

  • HV Products & Transformers knowledge. HV GIS / AIS Substations primary design and layout (will be an added advantage).

  • Complete understanding of technical requirements of the Client specifications for Green Field EPC & Brown Field Revamping EHV substation projects.

  • Responsible for preparations of Pre-Bid Clarification / Customer Response evaluation.

  • Coordination with Feeder Factories/ Compliance-Deviation preparation / Conceptual drawings / Post Bid clarifications against the client specifications.

  • Responsible for bid risk analysis, to raise flag anticipating engineering / project related risks to support with clear risk & opportunities assessment, to arrive at risk & contingency provisions.

  • To feed input to projects to support project schedules and overall planning of the entire turnkey projects.

  • Managing complete engineering interfaces against the client, Internal & External partners.

  • Preferably knowledge in engineering activity to support all bid/no bid decisions in place and also to lead verification & approval for sub supplier engineering documentation to facilitate estimation process.

  • Business Communication (Strong verbal & written English language skills.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering bachelor’s degree.

  • Maximum number of experience 6-8 years of total experience in, Tendering, Bids, Proposals and Field Service.

  • Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.

  • Works independently, applying established standards and instructs or coaches other professionals.

  • Provides information to the risk review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy Ltd. policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment.

  • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization.

  • Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.
