Senior Project Quality Manager

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the successful delivery of complex, large‑scale power and energy projects within Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration business. You will contribute to quality planning and execution across EPC environments, helping ensure that project outcomes meet defined technical, regulatory, and customer requirements. Your work will span supplier quality, site inspections, audits, and continuous improvement practices that support safer execution, reliable delivery, and consistent performance across the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will apply established quality standards and methodologies to support substations, grid infrastructure, and energy transition projects. Through structured inspections, testing processes, root‑cause investigations, and lessons learned, you will help strengthen project execution and support Hitachi Energy’s role in modernizing and sustaining the power grid.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Support quality planning and execution for EPC power and energy projects within a complex, multinational environment

  • Apply ISO 9001 standards and project quality management practices across project phases

  • Review and support Supplier and Site Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Master Test Plans (MTP)

  • Participate in inspections, testing activities, punch list management, and mechanical completion processes

  • Apply structured problem‑solving and quality methodologies to address non‑conformities and improvement actions

  • Support lessons learned, COPQ, and customer feedback processes (including T‑NPS)

  • Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to support consistent quality outcomes

  • Review technical documentation and drawings to support quality activities

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (engineering electrical or mechanical or scientific master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ professional experience in EPC Project Quality Management for large and complex organizations (Power, Energy, Renewable, Oil and Gas sectors preferred; 10 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (lead‑auditor certification preferred)
  • General knowledge of Project Management, including Risk Management (PMI knowledge and CAPM‑PMI certification an advantage)
  • Knowledge of ITP, MTP, inspections, test procedures, punch lists, mechanical completion, lessons learned, COPQ, and T‑NPS processes
  • Knowledge of 8D, RCA, PDCA, 5W, Lean Six Sigma (L6S), FMEA, and other quality methodologies
