Associate Project Manager

We are now looking for an Associate Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business in Helsinki, Finland. In this role you will be leading the execution of projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, as schedule commitments. You will be supporting the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution. This role is part of our Nordic Cluster Operations that handles all projects in Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Project management is the central part of operations, and this position is with the Finnish market.

There is more than one way to approach this role. You can be a strong professional with several years of relevant experience or a more junior candidate with willingness and courage to test your limits in learning new things and taking on the challenges that are part of our daily work. Depending on your background, we will provide training and support to help you grow into this role. 

Your responsibilities 

  • Ownership of substation projects. Handle customer, team, and stakeholder’s management.
  • Customer satisfaction and achievement of overall project goals. Both contractual and internal milestones.
  • Financial results.
  • Leadership of project teams.
  • External and internal reporting.
  • HSE within the projects.

Your background 

  • You preferably hold a degree in Engineering, Business or similar.
  • Good planning and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset, goal orientation and customer-focus.
  • You are an engaged, ambitious, and driven person that thrives in a constantly changing environment and who enjoys collaboration with colleagues, customers and different stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish. Other languages are seen as an advantage (e.g. Swedish or Danish).
  • The ability to work in multinational teams.
