Hitachi Energy strengthens Executive Leadership team with the appointment of Americas region leader

Features | Global | 27.07.2026 | 2 min read

The rapid growth of AI-driven data centers and industrial electrification is reshaping electricity demand and accelerating the electricity era. This presents unprecedented opportunities for Hitachi Energy as it builds the grid and leads the evolution of energy systems around the world.

The Americas, particularly the United States, are among Hitachi Energy’s most important growth markets. The region combines strong demand for grid infrastructure, large-scale investment in electrification and AI-driven power consumption, and significant manufacturing expansion, making it a key contributor to the company’s long-term growth strategy. In line with the largest investment program being deployed in the industry, the company is allocating more than $2.3 billion in the Americas to expand capacity, strengthen local manufacturing and service capabilities, and support customers in meeting growing demand for reliable and sustainable power.

The appointment of Andy Goggin as Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas Region, effective July 27, 2026, underscores Hitachi Energy’s continued focus on the region as a dynamic and critical market at the core of the company’s growth and expansion efforts. Andy succeeds Anthony Allard, who has led the region through a period of strong growth and strategic expansion. Anthony will now be fully dedicated to his primary role as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer for the company.

Andy joins Hitachi Energy from Siemens Energy, arriving with more than 27 years of energy industry leadership experience. He held progressively senior positions while at Siemens Energy, including Vice President of New Generation Sales – North America and most recently Senior Vice President of Power Generation Sales for North America.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Power Engineering from the Maine Maritime Academy in the United States.

Note
1 Hitachi Energy’s Americas region includes North America (United States and Canada) and Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Central America).
