Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.
Your responsibilities
Technical project management of GIS systems (gas insulated switchgear) and their processing and support during the offer and processing phase until the end of on-site assembly.
Design and execution of the GIS projects according to customer requirements and specifications. Preparation of the contractual primary engineering documents in active cooperation with the various departments, such as Sales, Procurement (SCM), Project Management, Planning, on-site assembly as well as external customers.
Leading technical customer meetings and negotiating at professional level.
Technical advice and development of solutions with and at the customer.
Occasional travel to customer and/or site meetings, during feasibility and or project executing phases.
Coordination of the required steel and secondary engineering activities.
Responsible for technical and quality compliant solutions as well as technical coordination of activities in connection with upstream and downstream departments.
Technical project handling and ordering of the required GIS material as per project Milestones.
Adhering to as-sold project commercial deliverables and supporting commercial Project manager with Up-sales.
Your background
Technical qualification in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
Technical knowhow and knowledge in High Voltage/Substation/ Switchgear engineering
Analytical work methodology, independent, engaged and cost-conscious
You have at least 2 years of experience in technical project management
Experienced in the use of CAD in 3D and 2D as well as Microsoft Office and possibly SAP system knowledge
Independent, well-structured and reliable way of working, as well as self-control of his activities
Distinct ability to work in a team
Good communication skills to lead technical meetings both internally and externally with customers and suppliers.
