Senior Project Manager - Energy Systems

The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we’re seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the Power Systems sector. Based in Raleigh, NC, this hybrid onsite role offers the chance to manage high-impact initiatives that power communities and industries. How you'll make an impact

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex power delivery projects

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and financial forecasts

  • Monitor project health using EVMS and ensure positive cash flow

  • Identify and mitigate risks while uncovering new opportunities

  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage procurement and subcontracting

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Deliver clear, timely project updates to internal and external stakeholders


Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, or related field

  • 5–10 years of experience managing infrastructure or energy projects

  • Experience with turnkey substation projects is a strong advantage

  • PMP certification is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and financial management skills

  • Experience with contract negotiation and risk management

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
