HUB Components & Materials Expert (m/f/d)

For our Transformers Business Unit we’re looking for HUB Components and Material Expert who will provide technical expertise and leadership to drive the generation, maintenance, adoption/implementation of standard materials/accessories/components in transformer factories across Hub Europe. Interact with different stakeholders in the development, verification, and standardization of accessories and evaluation of available solutions per Industry, Technical, Quality and HSE requirements. Support the Supply Chain in the development of new suppliers, identify opportunities for cost reduction based on technical requirements and data analysis and in the evaluation of potential substitutions.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Collaborate with factory Engineering, Category Managers, SCM, Quality and Suppliers on standardizing and streamlining transformer components and materials.

  • Provide technical expertise in the qualification process for new components & materials and/or new suppliers.

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of components library in compliance with applicable regulations (PFAS, SVHC, …).

  • Represent the “voice of customer” during supplier audits.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering teams to facilitate the integration of standard components within their factories and design tools.

  • Update material specifications in coordination with Global Material Repository (GMR) teams, ensuring they reflect the latest standards and are commercially viable. Recommend enhancements to drawings and existing specifications. Coordinate specification changes with interfacing manufacturing sites.

  • Set up appropriate processes for components and standards handling.

Your Background

  • BSc in Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering

  • 7-10 years of overall engineering experience in Production, Quality Assurance, and Supplier development.

  • Strong technical knowledge of the transformer accessories portfolio in the European market for distribution and power transformers.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Creo or other 3D modeling Software, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windchill, SAP

  • Familiar with IEC standards for transformers and components.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and proficiency in project managent.

  • Excellent English knowledge, both oral and written
