The Opportunity

Join our Supply Chain Center of Excellence in Mexico. You will manage the full import process for electrical equipment arriving from global factories. You will work with cross-functional teams, customs brokers, forwarders, and internal business units across the country.

This role is ideal if you enjoy solving complex logistics challenges. You will gain deep expertise in project cargo, international trade compliance, and transportation management. You will have real impact on delivery performance and cost efficiency for critical energy infrastructure projects across Mexico.

You will grow your skills in SAP, transportation management systems, and data analysis tools. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in dynamic environments, this opportunity is for you.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Determine import requirements and communicate them to overseas factories (invoices, certificates of origin, technical data, shipping documents).

  • Plan and execute project cargo shipments via air, ocean, road, and multimodal transport (break bulk, RO-RO, dangerous goods).

  • Provide instructions to forwarders for pickup, main freight, and last-mile delivery from origins in China, India, Brazil, and Europe to any location in Mexico.

  • Lead the customs clearance process, coordinating with brokers, classification teams, and certification entities.

  • Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports to track shipments and proactively replan when needed.

  • Measure and report KPIs by business unit: on-time pickup, on-time delivery, delay analysis, and forwarder performance.

  • Propose and execute continuous improvement projects for end-to-end project cargo management.

  • Use transportation software and forwarder platforms to track and manage shipments in real time.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in international logistics, customs clearance, and import/export operations.

  • Hands-on experience managing project cargo or special cargo shipments.

  • Knowledge of Incoterms, tariff classification, and customs regulations in Mexico.

  • Experience working with freight forwarders and 3PL providers.

  • Proficiency in SAP (TM or MM modules), Excel, and Power BI.

  • Intermediate to advanced English for regional communication
