Technical Project Manager – CTO PLM - Transformer Products

The opportunity:

The Technical Project Manager for the PLM CTO Program will lead the end-to-end delivery of the initiative to bring Distribution Transformer product data into PTC Windchill and enable automated Configure-to-Order (CTO) BOM generation using inputs from the Sales Configurator. This role ensures successful execution across Engineering, PLM, Sales, IT, and Manufacturing teams—driving alignment, system readiness, rule validation, and smooth rollout of the new digital product configuration process.

  • Oversee collaboration between IT, PLM administrators, and integration teams to ensure accurate data flow between E-config and Windchill.

  • Ensure the Windchill system is properly structured to receive configured data and generate correct product BOMs. Support organizational adoption through user enablement and training.

  • Oversee development and validation of Super BOMs, BOM relationship rules, variant/option logic, and metadata for CTO.

  • Ensure alignment between business needs and PLM configuration. Coordinate with Sales Configurator teams for rule mapping, attribute alignment, and option selection flow.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all PLM CTO project updates. Provide structured progress reporting to leadership and steering committees.

  • Conduct regular meetings, issue escalations, and milestone reviews. Lead end-to-end process testing, including Sales configuration, data flow validation, and BOM rule testing.

  • Document new processes, workflows, responsibilities, and governance models. Define governance for Super BOM updates, rule changes, and metadata maintenance.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
