The Controller is the Local Sales Unit (LSU) Manager’s strategic and business partner and is accountable for the business performance and the effective financial management, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of the LSU. The Controller plays a key role in strategic and operational decision-making within the LSU (e.g. investment, risk management, contract management, compliance, etc.). This role will report to the Hub controller with dotted line responsibility to Local Sales Unit Manager.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will contribute to, implement and execute the defined fit-for-purpose Service strategy and business model within the LSU, translate strategy into business plans and sets measurable targets within LSU, accountable for the business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, following the global BU, HUB BU and company’s planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, serve as the main interface between the Service BU and the company functions within the LSU, evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions.

  • You will take accountable for the overall business performance of LSU, monitor business progress, provide insights, by leveraging data, to drive and support strategic and operational decision-making, drive profitable growth, fit-for-purpose cost structure, productivity improvement and capital efficiency, ensure effective cash flow and net working capital management. You will ensure risk management processes are effectively implemented within LSU & ensure all contract management activities are executed within the LSU, in accordance with the global BU instructions and company regulations, manage, negotiate financial terms and conditions and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • You will ensure overall and financial governance is in place within the LSU and drive implementation of processes to ensure compliance with global BU/ HUB BU and company governances, regulations, policies and instructions, lead initiatives to improve Finance and Controlling processes within the LSU, accountable for transparency in financial reporting and disclosures, implement and maintain effective internal controls within the LSU, ensure compliance with the global BU and company regulations and supports internal and external audits, ensure an effective assurance process within the LSU.

  • You will be accountable for obtaining transparent, timely, accurate and reliable financial and business data, by leveraging the established processes and tools, following the company’s and global BU’s closing and reporting timetable, prepare business relevant reports and presents to HUB BU and LSU management teams, lead optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, related to Finance and Controlling, within the LSU.

  • You will lead, provide guidance and facilitates best practice sharing within the LSU Finance and Controlling community to ensure alignment and consistency of Finance and Controlling practices, build a fit-for-purpose and best-in-class Finance and Controlling community, contribute to the company’s Finance people strategy and capability development, building our future-ready and future-proof Finance.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background: 

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration and finance.

  • Experience within the power/energy Industry.

  • Strategic, critical and analytical thinking capabilities.

  • In depth knowledge of Finance and Controlling, Risk Management.

  • Operational experience in Finance and Controlling, Risk Management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
