Senior HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions (Switzerland)

The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, our purpose is Inspiring the Next through building a sustainable energy future. We power homes, schools, hospitals and industries—and it’s our people who make that possible.

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our Corporate Functions in Switzerland. This is a highly operational, hands-on role in a complex, global matrix environment.

You will act as a key connector across HR, helping leaders navigate organisational complexity, access the right expertise, and ensure smooth, compliant HR delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, solution-focused environments, with strong knowledge of the Swiss landscape.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Act as a key HR contact for Corporate Function leaders for employees based in Switzerland, providing practical, day-to-day support
  • Ensure effective HR operations across the employee lifecycle, delivered consistently and in line with policy
  • Guide stakeholders through complex HR topics, connecting them with the right Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and HR experts
  • Collaborate closely with global HRBPs, CoEs, and specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Build trusted relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, balancing perspectives and priorities
  • Apply strong political awareness and organisational understanding to navigate sensitive topics effectively
  • Ensure full compliance with Swiss employment legislation and local regulatory requirements
  • Work confidently with works councils / employee representative bodies
  • Support delivery of talent, performance, and organisational processes in partnership with HR colleagues
  • Use data and insight to support pragmatic, solution-oriented decision-making
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and shared accountability across HR

Your Background

  • 8+ years’ relevant HR experience, including operating at HRBP level within a multinational, matrix organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of Swiss employment legislation and local HR practices (essential), including German language fluency.
  • Experience working with works councils / employee representatives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Comfortable working within a CoE model, partnering with global HRBP communities and shared services
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a pragmatic and solution-focused mindset
  • High level of political awareness and ability to navigate organisational complexity
  • Collaborative approach—able to connect people, teams, and expertise to resolve issues effectively
  • Experience supporting Corporate Functions or similarly structured environments is advantageous

What’s in it for you?

  • Join a purpose-driven organisation shaping the future of sustainable energy
  • Work in a truly global and collaborative HR environment
  • Be part of a team that values diversity, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Gain exposure to complex, high-impact organisational challenges
  • Develop your career within a leading international organisation
