Commissioning Engineer HV Substation Primary Equipment

The Opportunity

We are looking for a for a skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineer/Technician to join our team at Hitachi Energy.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to manage the installation and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) substation primary equipment. It involves executing and finalizing commissioning activities in line with safety, quality, and contractual standards.

How you'll make impact

• Execute commissioning of HV/MV substation equipment (e.g., circuit breakers, disconnectors, GIS)
• Coordinate with site teams and support installation activities
• Ensure documentation is updated and lessons learned are shared
• Support project risk assessment and customer acceptance
• Provide technical support to sales and training to customers
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment

Your Background

• At least 2 years of experience with commissioning or installation HV substation
• Technical education in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with HV/MV substation equipment commissioning
• Strong technical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently on-site and communicate with customers
• Communicative English and Romanian
• Driving licence
