The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.
 
Nearly half of our white-collar workforce comprises employees in engineering and scientific fields. How you’ll make an impact

1. You will coordinate internal procurement activities for R&D projects, including equipment, software licenses, laboratory materials, prototypes, and external services.

2. You will follow up procurement requests through approval, purchasing, and delivery phases.

3. You will liaise with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance, and suppliers to ensure timely execution.

4. You will maintain procurement tracking records and related reporting.

5. You will identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and process compliance.

6. You will support budget monitoring and expenditure tracking for R&D activities.

7. You will support coordination of the China R&D organization and facilitate communication across local and global teams.

8. You will organize department meetings, workshops, training sessions, and team events.

9. You will track action items and support follow-up activities.

10. You will assist with onboarding activities for new employees.

11. You will maintain organization charts, team information, and departmental records.

12. You will support internal communications and coordination among engineering teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.

13. You will collect, consolidate, and analyze time sheet data.

14. You will maintain R&D resource allocation and workload tracking systems.

15. You will generate monthly and quarterly reports on resource utilization.

16. You will support project budgeting, forecasting, and manpower planning activities.

17. You will provide insights and recommendations through data analysis to support management decisions.

18. You will support employee development programs, training activities, and career development initiatives.

19. You will maintain competency matrices, training records, and development plans.

20. You will coordinate annual development discussions, talent reviews, and succession planning activities.

21. You will track onboarding and mentoring programs for new employees.

22. You will develop and maintain management tools using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, SharePoint, and other digital platforms.

23. You will support creation of R&D KPI dashboards and management reports.

24. You will automate routine reporting and workflow processes.

25. You will participate in digital transformation initiatives within the R&D organization.

26. You will drive data standardization, visualization, and process improvement activities.

27.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1.Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, Project Management, or related disciplines.

2. 1–5 years of relevant experience in operations, project coordination, engineering support, procurement administration, PMO, HR support, or business operations.

3. Experience in a multinational organization is preferred

4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

5. Good understanding of business processes and project coordination.

6. Experience with digital tools and workflow automation is an advantage.

7. Good written and spoken English.

8. Structured and analytical mindset.

9. Proactive, customer-oriented, and willing to drive continuous improvement.
