Job Summary

You'll be responsible for the driving, implementing, reporting and monitoring of the progress of the service sales strategy, developing trends for identifying and winning new business, developing contract strategy and project proposals based on policies, customer requirements, budgets and timescales ensuring they meet agreed technical standards.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will provide any necessary technical support to Sales Managers during technical meetings, responsible for collecting all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements and creating and complete bid documents (Technical proposal and Commercial proposal based on customer specification or customer bid document or customer budget).
  • You will identify potential vendors for equipment and materials and service required in the project and technically evaluate supplier offers to check match with specifications, collect and archive documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process.
  • You will ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs, identify potential risks in the bids, quotations, estimate, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels.
  • You will provide information and/or participate in the Risk Review procedure and process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, ensure that inputs from related functions for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
  • You will regularly report the status of the bids using defined tools and collects and analyses the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
  • You will collaborate with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Preparing post order documentation and following applicable commercial processes prior to handover.

Your background:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering field or working as Project control role with relevant to transformer products, power substation, LV, MV and HV switchgear is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of substations within the electrical power market.
  • Experience in proposal estimation, tender management, and risk analysis.
  • Time management, presentation, and planning skills. The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) & Salesforce.
  • Strong in collaborative and communication skills.
  • Good in English communication.
